Workshops and Career Fairs

Direct Student Engagement
We encourage employers to visit the University and to network with our students and staff. Networking is an important skill for any student to develop, and having the chance to hear about your organisation, and to speak to your employees helps to raise our student's aspirations and it provides them with real and honest accounts of what it is like to work in your sector. It also provides the opportunity for you to meet our students directly and scope out our talent.
If you are interested in getting involved in guest lectures, networking events or our careers events then you can do so by completing  this form (you must be registered to StudentHub and logged in to complete). Upon completion, one of our Consultants will contact you to discuss how we can facilitate your request.

Career Fairs
We host our main Careers Fair in the first semester (around mid-November). This event is about providing our students with advice and guidance about careers in different sectors and is open to all students.

In summer 2021, we are also holding a Graduate Recruitment Fair, for those organisations that have early deadlines to hit, as the new academic year starts.

In response to COVID-19, our most recent Careers Fair went virtual! We hosted 65 employers across 70 different webinars and events. We recorded over 1,200 attendances throughout the day and received outstanding feedback from employers.

"The students were well prepared with specific questions which felt far more valuable for the hour than a full day at a standard careers fair which can be an unknown. We are often extremely busy at University careers events but sometimes these conversations aren't always with actual potential candidates, so yesterday’s session felt like a far more quality conversation."

"I was impressed with the passion the students had and it felt they were utilising the chance to ask questions, which were all really sensible. I do think that speaking to someone in a job is helpful as it brings to life why you are studying what you are doing."
